Timothy Visits New Parlamentarium Museum
Brussels - 13th October, 2011
Timothy was one of the first to visit the European Parliament's new visitor centre/museum, the Parlamentarium. He didn't know quite what to expect but ended up being very impressed by the facility and what it stood for.
It is truly a state of the art, multimedia experience which is interactive and takes visitors through the history, present and future of the Parliament.
After the visit Timothy said:
"The European Parliament, and those of us who work in it, are sometimes quite rightly accused of being too distant from the people of Europe. The processes and workings of the Parliament can appear overly complicated and unnecessarily bureaucratic. Here is a new facility which explains it all in a user-friendly, hi tech and attractive way and I hope many of my constituents have the opportunity to visit."
