Timothy Continues Support For Horse Welfare

Timothy has long campaigned for horse welfare. Most recently, of course, he helped by signing the Written Declaration on horse transportation and urging colleagues to do likewise.
World Horse Welfare visited the European Parliament to promote their campaign to end long distance transportation for horses to the slaughter to a finite 9 - 12 hours.
On this issue Timothy has also officially contacted Commissioner Dalli to urge him to end this traumatic experience for horses and to try to limit the journey times. He awaits the publication of the Commission Report on their review of horse welfare and journey times and pledges to continue to give his support.
