Mandelson shows another breathtaking lapse in judgement

Peter Mandelson has shown an astonishing lack of judgement in going to a party hosted by Microsoft's second-largest shareholder, billionaire Paul Allen, Conservative leader in the European Parliament Timothy Kirkhope MEP said today.
Mr Kirkhope said:
"This appears to be a serious lapse of judgement. Mr Mandelson has shown similar lapses of judgement in the past concerning potential conflicts of interest. I can't believe he, of all people, could be so naive. It's the equivalent of a High Court judge enjoying the hospitality of someone on whose affairs he may be required to deliver a judgement."
